In Character:
It is the end of LeafBare, the very beginning of NewLeaf. There snow has all melted into a slushy mess as the temperature has been rising from the more frequent appearances of the sun. The river on RiverClan's territory is still barely frozen; just a thin sheet of ice that is already thawed in patches is covering the fast moving water; a forewarning of potential floods. Small streams on the clans' territory have already thawed; a good source of fresh water.
